Yankees star Juan Soto leaves the game due to discomfort in his left forearm.

New York Yankees slugger Juan Soto was removed from Thursday night’s game against the Minnesota Twins due to left forearm discomfort.

Soto was taken out at the start of the sixth inning following a 56-minute rain delay. Aaron Judge shifted from left field to Soto’s position in right, while Alex Verdugo came off the bench to play left field.

Soto, who bats and throws left-handed, was 0 for 1 with two walks in the game. He has started all 64 games in his first season with New York after being traded from the San Diego Padres in a blockbuster deal last December.

The three-time All-Star is hitting .318 with 17 home runs and 53 RBIs.

Currently, Soto is tied with teammate Aaron Judge for the shortest American League MVP odds on FanDuel Sportsbook at +220.
